They feature all of the natural elements of the wood which gives them a huge amount of character. Suar wood, (also locally known as "Rain Tree"), is a fast-growing durable hardwood. It is traditionally carved into decorative shapes; particularly animal figures. Suar can be easily polished to a high sheen but takes great skill to carve, due to its very hard interlocking grain.
